About M/S Medvind

In the winter of 2020, Skärgårdslinjen expanded its fleet with a new ship, M/S Medvind!
Thanks to M/S Medvind’s two lounges of varying sizes, we now have even more opportunities to accommodate your group and wishes. Want a private lounge for your party or company event?
She was built at the Karlskrona shipyard in 1971 and grew up in Kalmarsund, Finland, and Stockholm. In recent years, she’s been in Sundsvall, but now M/S Medvind has finally found her way home to the west coast and our beautiful Gothenburg.
Cruises
On M/S Medvind, you can join the following tours:
Shrimp Feast with Show
Seafood Cruise with Guide – Southern Archipelago

Restaurant Deck
On the restaurant deck of M/S Medvind, we can seat about 90 dining guests. There are tables with anywhere from four to ten seats.

The Lounge
The lounge on M/S Medvind is one floor up. Here, we can seat about 50 dining guests. If you’re a large enough group, you can book the entire lounge for your event. Just outside, you’ll find the ship’s hidden gems: the sun deck and the promenade deck.
Sun Deck
For the 2023 season, the aft lounge underwent a major renovation, resulting in a beautiful sun deck with seating and a bar. From here, you can access the promenade deck that wraps around the entire ship. Sit back and enjoy!
