Join M/S Trubaduren for a day cruise with a guide through the southern archipelago. Enjoy a delicious seafood buffet while learning about famous islands and charming fishing villages.

Skärgårdslinjen’s guided seafood cruises in Gothenburg’s southern archipelago are the perfect trip for exploring beautiful surroundings, exciting stories, and all-you-can-eat seafood. The M/S Trubaduren departs from Packhuskajen in Gothenburg Harbor, a short walk from the central station.

Knowledgeable Guides and Fascinating Stories

The guide welcomes you as soon as the boat departs. The first leg passes through Gothenburg’s inner harbor, where we sail past iconic landmarks like the Eriksberg Crane, Älvsborg Bridge, and Röda Sten.

Our guides have years of experience and deliver their stories in a fun, engaging, and personal way—with a healthy dose of humor. They’re happy to answer any spontaneous questions during the cruise.

Seafood Buffet with Ocean Delights

Just as we leave Gothenburg and see the harbor cranes rise, the buffet is ready in the salon. Enjoy fish, seafood, and all the trimmings you could want.

Langoustines with creamy chili aioli, fresh shrimp with mayo and levain, mussels, various herring dishes, hot-smoked salmon with dill potatoes and red onion. Don’t miss the fried pickled herring with egg-anchovy salad, or the crispbread with assorted cheeses. View the full buffet in the menu.

On the upper dining deck of M/S Trubaduren, you’ll enjoy a cozy maritime setting with large windows. The buffet stays open so you can return for seconds. Please consider the environment and take smaller portions more often to reduce food waste. Most food and drinks on board are organic. Learn more about Skärgårdslinjen’s sustainability efforts.

The World's Most Beautiful Archipelago!?

Gothenburg’s archipelago is full of stories. As you crack into your langoustines, the boat passes mighty Älvsborg Fortress, then Långedrag and Saltholmen, and continues out toward even more historical gems.

We pass islands like Rivö, Asperö, and Köpstadsö, before nearing Styrsö and its famous “snob alley.” Enjoy views of red boathouses, ornate woodwork, and postcard-perfect fishing villages. On clear days, you’ll spot Vinga lighthouse and its iconic triangle beacon on the horizon.

Of course, we pass beautiful Brännö to see if there's dancing underway, then continue past Känsö, which served as a quarantine station for ships in the 1800s.

On our return to Gothenburg, we sail past Vargö, Donsö, and Knarrholmen.

We arrive back at Packhuskajen after a four-hour cruise.
