Our Sustainability Commitment

With the sea and nature as our closest neighbors and our hearts beating for a beautiful future for all, sustainability is at the core of our daily work at Skärgårdslinjen. Every purchase and decision is made with this in mind.

The Ships

Since 2018, all our ships run on environmentally friendly fuel, free from toxins. This is a major financial investment that we gladly make to protect our beloved seas.

We’ve invested in new fuel-efficient engines and reuse materials when building or renovating. We always look to the second-hand market first for all our purchases. We’re passionate about giving things a second life.

The Restaurant

We recycle all our waste as a matter of course. We’ve significantly reduced our plastic use and eliminated all single-use items.

The water we serve comes from our own tap, and drinks are served from kegs or recyclable packaging.

Our seafood is MSC-certified, and we prioritize KRAV-certified and organic products from our suppliers – this applies to dairy, wine, beer, and vegetables.

The meat and chicken we serve onboard comes from Gröna Gårdar – so you can enjoy quality meat with a clean conscience.

Chemicals

We only use environmentally certified cleaning products and carefully choose which chemicals, if any, are brought on board.
